Thanks for the tip! Where exactly is the steering column motor located, and is it easily accessible? I'm not a mechanic, but I'm willing to have a look before taking it in.

It's usually up near the base of the column, under the dash. You might be able to see it if you poke your head in the footwell. But honestly, if you're not comfortable poking around, I'd suggest taking it to a workshop. Could be a faulty connection, but could also be the motor itself. Best to get it diagnosed properly. My friend had similar issues in his truck and had to replace a module, and it was pricey.

Thanks a lot for the advice! I took it to a local garage, and you were spot on – it was indeed a faulty plug connection. They cleaned it up, and it's working perfectly now. Cost me 95€, which I'm happy with considering the alternative. Appreciate the help!

Sounds like a pain. Have you checked the cable and plug connections to the steering column motor? That's usually the first thing to go, especially with electric steering.
