Ccrosser Emissions Test Failure
Summary of the thread
A 2008 Citroen Ccrosser diesel failed an emissions test due to an incomplete system readiness check, which began after an OBD2 diagnostic. Clearing error codes during the diagnostic can reset the system, requiring it to re-run self-tests to confirm emissions compliance. The suggested solution is to complete a specific drive cycle to allow the system to reset and pass the readiness check, potentially requiring assistance from a workshop.

Yes, I did clear stored error codes during the OBD2 diagnostic. What are the implications of clearing codes for the system readiness check? Also, what do you mean by 'computer reset,' and how do I do it?

Clearing the codes can cause this. The system needs time to re-run its self-tests to confirm everything is working for emissions. A computer reset might not solve it; I had to take mine to a workshop. They said the drive cycle sometimes needs to be completed precisely for all the monitors to set.

Thanks for the help. I'll check with a technician about the system readiness check. The workshop didn't charge me anything in the end, the car just needed a longer drive.

I had something similar with my Ccrosser. After diagnostics, the system readiness wouldn't complete, and I couldn't pass inspection. Did you clear any error codes during the OBD2 readout? That might be it. Have you tried a computer reset?
