Thanks for the tip! I haven't specifically checked the injector connections yet, but I'll definitely take a look. By live data, do you mean with an OBD2 scanner? I have one, but I'm not sure what parameters I should be monitoring.

Yes, exactly, with an OBD2 scanner! I am not an expert with Citroen Ccrosser diesels, but in my case, it was enough to wiggle the cables a bit to make the engine run normal again for a short amount of time. If wiggling the cables has any effect, the root cause is most likely a defective cable or plug connection of the component. If you are not sure, I would recommend visiting a workshop.

Thanks for your help and advice. I checked the injector connections as you suggested and found a loose plug. Cleaned it up, secured it properly, and everything seems to be running smoothly now! I took it to the workshop as you suggested and it cost 95€ to fix. Appreciate the insight!

Hey, those symptoms sound familiar. I had a similar issue with my old Opel Astra a few years back. Reduced power, rough idling... turned out to be a dodgy connection in the fuel injection system. Have you checked the cable and plug connections to the injectors? Sometimes a bit of corrosion or a loose connection can cause havoc. Do you have the possibility to check the live data, while the engine is running?
