Ccrosser Fuel Level Sensor Fault

Citroen Ccrosser (2013, Diesel) owners, I'm experiencing a persistent fuel level sensor fault. The check engine light illuminates intermittently, and the engine occasionally stalls at idle. Error codes consistently point towards the fuel level sensor. I've checked the wiring and verified the sensor's resistance, which appears within range. Is there a dedicated fuse for the fuel level sensor in this model, and if so, where is it located?

Summary of the thread

A Citroen Ccrosser owner experienced a persistent fuel level sensor fault, causing the check engine light to illuminate and the engine to stall intermittently. Despite checking the wiring and sensor resistance, the issue persisted, with error codes pointing to the fuel level sensor. The problem was resolved by replacing a defective fuse, which was not clearly labeled in the diagram, at a local workshop.

Whoa, sounds frustrating! A faulty fuel level sensor can definitely cause those issues. I'm not sure about a dedicated fuse, but have you checked the main fuse box diagram? It might be labelled under a different name or grouped with other components. Is the fuel gauge on the car dashboard behaving erratically too?

Yes, the fuel gauge does fluctuate randomly, even with a full tank. I suspected a grounding issue, but haven't been able to pinpoint it. Regarding the fuse box, I've reviewed the diagram, but there's no explicit mention of a 'fuel level sensor' fuse. That's why I was hoping someone with specific Ccrosser experience might know if it's tied to another circuit.

Alright, fluctuating gauge + stalling + error codes = classic sensor issue. If no dedicated fuse is jumping out, and you've checked the wiring, I think you've gone as far as you can without pro-level gear. It's time to visit a workshop to check the fuel tank and the electronics.

Thanks for confirming my suspicions. I took it to a local workshop, and indeed, a fuse was defective; it wasn't labelled obviously on the diagram. Replacing it and clearing the error codes seems to have resolved the problem. Total cost was 52€ including labour. Appreciate the input!
