Ccrosser Stalling at Idle

Help! My 2007 Citroen Ccrosser diesel is acting up. The check engine light is on, and it stalls at idle. I scanned it and got an 'incorrect fuel composition' error. Mileage is only 42613 km. Could a defective cable or plug connection really cause this? I'm so worried it's something serious, like a problem in the combustion chamber due to wrong fuel!

That sounds frustrating! I had a similar issue with my old Audi A4 a while back. Engine was knocking like crazy after filling up, turned out to be fuel contamination. Do you remember where you last filled up? Could be bad fuel quality.

Yeah, it's a pain! I filled up at my usual station. The engine knock you mentioned – was it constant, or only at certain times? And did you also get that 'incorrect fuel composition' error?

The knocking was pretty consistent, especially under load. And no, my error was more specific about fuel quality, not composition. But honestly, it could be a similar root cause. If it's stalling, I'd get it checked by a workshop; might save you a bigger headache later.

Thanks for the advice! Turns out it was a dodgy plug connection. The garage charged me 95€ to sort it. Appreciate the help!
