Ccrosser transmission issue

My 2011 Citroen Ccrosser diesel has a transmission indicator light and check engine light. The automatic transmission feels like it's in emergency mode with unclean shifts and a grinding noise. Error code is stored. My friend thinks it might be a defective radiator oil pressure sensor, maybe defective cables or plug connections. 117991 km on the clock. Anyone else experienced something similar?

I have a Ccrosser, and had almost the exact same symptoms last year. Have you checked the radiator coolant level and the cooling fan operation? It could also be the oil cooler, as this model seems prone to radiator repair issues. It almost sounds like the pressure sensor is reading the values wrong.

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly! That’s interesting! When you say 'radiator repair issues,' could you elaborate a bit? Was it also the radiator oil pressure, or something different? I'm trying to gather as much information as possible before I start tearing things apart or take it to a workshop.

Yes, the symptoms sound very familiar. I remember the technician mentioning a faulty connection to the sensor. Given the hassle and potential for further damage, if I were you, I would go straight to the workshop to have it checked.

Thank you so much for confirming. You've given me the confidence to proceed! I took it to the shop, and, just as you and my friend suspected, it was the cable or plug connection of the component that was defective. The bill came to 95€ which is a lot less than I anticipated. Thanks again for your help!
