Celica radio failure

Yep, total loss, zero signal. Does that point more definitively to the antenna itself, or should I still look at the booster?

Total loss sounds stronger for a completely defective antenna, but honestly, it could still be either. It's hard to be certain without proper diagnostic tools. Save yourself the headache and make friends with your local car mechanic. They'll be able to pinpoint it precisely.

Thanks. Diagnostics pointed to defective antenna, as suspected. 255€ later and the radio works again.

Had a similar headache with my Celica (though it's a different year). Radio was cutting out. It sounds like your antenna booster might be the culprit, or maybe the antenna itself is just plain defective. Any static or total signal loss?
