Yeah, immobilizer light is going nuts. I tried the battery disconnect already, no dice. You mentioned a software glitch? Was it something specific, like an immobilizer issue or something else related to the car's configuration?

In my case, it turned out the car thought it was still in 'delivery' mode from the factory – basically a very deep sleep to save battery during shipping. I couldn't resolve it myself. I suggest taking it to a workshop; they'll likely need to do a software reflash to clear it.

Thanks for the info. 'Delivery mode' makes sense, given the symptoms. Dropped it off at the shop; they confirmed it needs a reflash to exit transport mode. Zero cost. Appreciate the help!

I had something similar happen with my Celica. Is the immobilizer light flashing? It might be a software glitch or the key fob needs re-syncing with the car's ECU. Have you tried a hard reset, disconnecting the battery for a bit?
