Hey, thanks for the heads up! I'll definitely have my mechanic take a peek at the cable connection then, fingers crossed that it's something as straightforward. If you don't mind me asking, do you remember roughly what you forked out for that fix? And, since the repair, have more issues popped up or has it been running smoothly? Cheers!
Hey again! Certainly, it didn't burn a big hole in my pocket, to be honest. To handle that pesky cable connection defect, it only ran me about 155€. Worth it to sort out that headache, I'd say. And you know what? It's been nothing but smooth roads since then. Specifically, no more central locking slip-ups, trust me! So, fear not, if it's the same issue, it should hopefully get your Arkana back at full swing! All the best!
Hello, that's a huge relief! That's totally a price I don't mind shelling out if it gets my Arkana back to its best again. Really appreciate the advice and the wallet-friendly prediction. I'm heading over to the mechanic with a bit more confidence now, and of course, your cable connection theory! Take care, and here's hoping my ride's back to perfect very soon! Thanks again! All the best!
Hey, I ran into a similar issue with my 2018 Renault Mégane not too long ago. One day, out of the blue, my key fob just started acting up, and the Central locking functionality went for a toss. Just like you, I thought the issue was with the Central locking system itself, but in my case, it turned out to be a Cable connection problem. When I took it to my mechanic, he found that the Cable connecting the key fob to the Central locking system was defective. The connection had started to degrade over time, and this apparently caused the whole unlocking/locking muddle. No reason to panic though, he fixed it by replacing the defective Cable, and everything fell right back into place. It wasn't a huge deal in the grand scheme of things. So my advice to you would be to check for any Cable connection issues before assuming it's entirely the Central locking system's fault. Hope this helps! Cheers!
