Check engine light and stalling at idle

Thanks for the quick reply. I visually inspected the hoses, but didn't find anything obvious. By 'blockages' do you mean like, try blowing through them? Also, did your issue cause any problems with your pressure sensor readings? Trying to gather as much info as possible before I start throwing money at this thing.

Yeah, by blockages I mean try to see if air flows through them. Honestly, after checking the cap and hoses, I'd take it to a workshop. It's probably the valve itself if the hoses look okay. Much easier than messing with the emission system on your own.

Appreciate the advice! Turns out you were spot on. Took it to the shop, and it was indeed the tank ventilation valve. They replaced it, cleared the engine light, and the stalling issue is gone. Total cost was 175€, which isn't too bad, I guess. Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction!

I had a similar issue with my ML, though I am unsure of the exact year. Same symptoms: engine light and stalling. It could be the ventilation valve hoses like you suspect. A faulty gas cap can also trigger the engine light because it affects the emission system. Have you checked the hoses for any visible cracks or blockages?
