Check engine light is on despite replacing the EGR valve on a Seat Ibiza

I own a Seat Ibiza, model year 2012, with a diesel engine and a mileage of 222,367 km. After a malfunction of the EGR valve and a loss of power, I replaced the EGR valve and cleared the error. The engine is now running normally again, but the check engine light is still on and the error for the EGR valve is still displayed. Do I need to reset something in this case, or are there other steps I should take?

Try disconnecting the battery for about 15 minutes to reset the ECU, which might clear the check engine light. If the light remains on, there might be an issue with the new EGR valve or its installation. Let me know if this helps or if you have any further questions.
