Chevrolet Beat Fog Sensor Error
Summary of the thread
A 2016 Chevrolet Beat owner experienced issues with the A/C, spray nozzles, and mirror heating, accompanied by a fog sensor error. The problem was suspected to be related to the climate control system, possibly due to a defective cable or plug connection. After checking the sensor and finding no visible issues, the owner took the car to a workshop, where a faulty connection was confirmed and repaired, resolving the issues.

Thanks for the reply. The error popped up suddenly, no specific event that I can recall. I haven't checked the cable or plug yet, to be honest. Where exactly is the fog sensor located? I'm not super familiar with the Beat's layout.

Okay, a sudden error is a bit strange. It's usually near the rearview mirror, behind the plastic trim on the windshield. Given all those symptoms, and that you haven't checked the connections yet, I would assume that the error source is a defective cable or plug connection of the component. But honestly, with all that going on at once, I reckon it's best you get it properly diagnosed at a workshop.

Thanks for the advice! I checked the sensor and was not able to identify any issues with the cable myself. I took it to a workshop and they confirmed it was a faulty connection. Cost me 95€ to repair. Everything is working again!

Sounds frustrating! The fog sensor is definitely tied into the climate control system. Did the error just appear, or did it start after some event? Did you check the sensor's cable or plug for corrosion?
