Chevrolet Blazer charge air temperature sensor issue

Hi, I have a 2001 Chevrolet Blazer with a gasoline engine and about 125k km on it. The check engine light is on and the engine power seems reduced. I'm also hearing a whistling noise and a loud hissing when accelerating. The error code points to the charge air temperature sensor. I suspect it might be a bad connection or a faulty plug. Any ideas?

Hey there! I also drive a Blazer, though it's a newer model. I had similar symptoms a while back – check engine light, weird noises, and sluggish performance. Have you checked the sensor's wiring harness for any obvious damage, like frayed wires or corrosion?

Thanks for the tip! I visually inspected the wiring and plug, and couldn't see anything obvious. Did you have the same error code related to the air sensor when you experienced this?

Yes, the error code was the same, indicating a problem with the charge air temperature sensor. I initially hoped for a quick fix, but ended up taking it to a workshop. They sorted it out properly.

Thanks. I appreciate the confirmation. I'll take it to a workshop as well. Turns out it was a defective connector at the sensor. Repair cost me 95€.
