Chevrolet Express Engine Runs Lean
Summary of the thread
A 2023 Chevrolet Express is experiencing a lean-running engine at 165,640 km, leading to reduced power, a check engine light, rough running, and jerking during acceleration. The issue may be due to a defective fuel injector, but other potential causes include faulty spark plugs or a malfunctioning mass air flow sensor. A similar case was resolved by replacing the fuel injectors, suggesting this as a possible solution. Consulting a workshop for a professional assessment is recommended.

Thank you for your input. I have not yet inspected the spark plugs or the mass air flow sensor. Did you observe similar symptoms before addressing the issue?

Absolutely! The jerking was the worst part, especially trying to merge onto the highway. I messed around with it for a while, thinking it was the catalytic converter or something simple. Honestly, after all the headaches, I just took it to a workshop, and they said it was definitely the fuel injectors. They replaced them, and the problem vanished. Saved me a ton of guesswork!

I appreciate the confirmation. I will consult a workshop to assess the fuel injectors. Thank you for sharing your experience.

Whoa, sounds frustrating! I had something similar happen with my Express (though mine's an older model). Check engine light, the whole shebang. Did you already try checking the spark plugs or the mass air flow sensor?
