Chevrolet Groove Stalling P0172

My 2023 Chevrolet Groove (gasoline engine) has 116518 km. The check engine light keeps appearing, and the engine sometimes stalls when idling. An OBD reader shows an error related to incorrect fuel composition, but different gas stations haven't helped. Could this be a fuel quality issue? What should I check next?

Summary of the thread

The 2023 Chevrolet Groove is experiencing stalling issues and a check engine light, with an OBD code P0172 indicating a "System Too Rich" condition. The problem is likely due to a faulty connection in the fuel system, possibly involving a cable or plug connection. The suggested solution is to have the vehicle inspected by a professional, as a defective connection could be a quick fix. The issue was resolved by cleaning and securing a faulty connection on a fuel sensor.

Whoa, incorrect fuel composition? That sounds serious! Is it throwing a specific code? Have you checked the fuel filler neck and cap to make sure there's a good seal? A bad seal can mess with the fuel mixture. Has any recent work been done on the fuel system?

Thanks! Yes, it's code P0172 (System Too Rich). I checked the fuel cap, and it seems fine. No recent work on the fuel system, which is weird! You mentioned the fuel mixture, where do I start looking for problems?

Okay, P0172 points to the fuel mixture being off. Given the stalling and the error, and based on what I've read about Chevy Grooves, a defective cable or plug connection of a component could cause these symptoms! You should definitely get it checked out at a workshop, because if it's a defective cable or plug connection, it might be a quick fix. You don't want to mess around with the fuel system yourself, especially with it running lean or rich, as it could damage the engine!

Thanks! I took it to my mechanic, and you nailed it! It was a faulty connection on one of the fuel sensors. They cleaned and secured the connection. Total cost was 95€, so nothing major. I appreciate the help!
