Chevrolet Move clutch switch issues
Summary of the thread
A 2021 Chevrolet Move experienced issues with the clutch pedal switch, leading to an error code, non-functional gear selection display, cruise control failure, and inability to start. The suspected cause was a defective cable or plug connection. It was confirmed that a bad connection at the switch was the problem, which was resolved at a workshop.

No recent work done, and the scan only shows the clutch switch error. Could a faulty switch really cause all those problems?

Indeed, it is entirely plausible. The clutch switch often serves as a crucial safety interlock, inhibiting engine start and disengaging cruise control. The gear selection display functionality within the speedometer might also rely on the clutch switch signal. A defective switch, or its wiring, can indeed manifest such symptoms. While you may be able to resolve this issue on your own, it is best to visit the workshop.

Thanks for confirming. I took it to the shop, and you were spot on. Bad connection at the switch. 95€ later, and it's all sorted.

Good heavens, that sounds like a right pickle! Given the issues all pointing back to the clutch pedal switch, your suspicion of a cabling or connector fault is quite astute. Has there been any recent work performed near the pedal box that might have disturbed the wiring harness? Furthermore, has a diagnostic scan revealed any subsidiary fault codes with the primary clutch switch error?
