Thanks for the reply. The pedal feels harder than usual, requiring significantly more force. No unusual noises. ABS light is indeed illuminated, along with the error message I mentioned. Any insight based on your experience with the Astra?

That sounds very similar to what I experienced. Hard pedal and ABS light were the key indicators. In my case, it was also due to the brake system not being bled correctly after some work. I ended up taking it to a workshop, and they confirmed the issue. They re-bled the system and replaced the faulty sensor. I would recommend getting it checked professionally.

Appreciate the confirmation. Confirmed brake system bled incorrectly causing the pressure sensor failure. Re-bled the brake system and replaced the brake booster pressure sensor. Total cost 90€.

I encountered a similar issue with my 2016 Opel Astra. What exactly does 'poor braking effect' mean? Does the brake pedal feel different, like harder or softer than usual? Any unusual noises when braking? Is the ABS light on, in addition to the error message?
