Thank you for the quick reply! I'll check the wiring and plug connection of the sensor, as you suggested. Where exactly is the oil level sensor located? Is it difficult to access?

On my Audi, the sensor was at the bottom of the oil pan, which wasn't the easiest place to reach, so I would recommend getting it checked out by a professional. It would have been cheaper for me to just let the workshop do their thing. They usually have diagnostic tools to pinpoint the problem quickly, and they can properly diagnose if the sensor itself is faulty. Good luck!

Thank you again for your advice! I followed your recommendation and took the vehicle to a workshop. As suspected, the cable connection to the oil level sensor was defective. The repair cost me 95€, and the issue is now resolved.

Hey, I had a similar issue with my old Audi A4. It turned out to be a faulty connection at the sensor. Have you checked the wiring and the plug going to the oil level sensor? Sometimes, they can get corroded or just come loose. A faulty sensor might trigger the oil pressure light, because the car thinks that there is no oil. It's worth checking out!
