Chevrolet Sail Airbag Warning Light

Hey, I'm having a panic with my 2010 Chevrolet Sail, it's got a gasoline engine. The airbag warning lamp keeps lighting up in the speedometer! It's done 215477 km. I've jiggled some wires under the seats, but no luck. Any ideas before I spend a fortune?

Summary of the thread

The airbag warning light on a 2010 Chevrolet Sail is persistently illuminating, indicating a potential issue. A common cause could be faulty cable or plug connections to the airbag components. While attempting to fix it by adjusting wires under the seats was unsuccessful, it is advised to have the vehicle inspected at a workshop to ensure safety and proper diagnosis.

I had something similar on my Sail. Check the cable and plug connections to the airbag components. It's a common issue.

Thanks! Where exactly should I be looking? I'm not super mechanically minded, any pointers on which components?

It's difficult to say exactly without seeing it. But I would recommend you go to the workshop. My problem was a defective plug connection; the repair cost me about 95€. This will give you peace of mind.

Thanks a lot! I'll get it checked out at a workshop then. I was hoping it was a simple fix, but better safe than sorry with airbags! I appreciate the help!
