Chevrolet Spin Fault Code After Chip Tuning
Summary of the thread
A 2023 Chevrolet Spin experienced a fault code and reduced engine power after undergoing chip tuning by a third-party provider. The issue was suspected to be caused by the modified software affecting engine parameters. The recommended solution was to have the ECU reflashed with the original software at a reputable workshop, which resolved the problem and restored the car's performance.

Yes, it was a third-party. How did you eventually resolve the problem? Was it definitely the chip tuning causing the fault?

Confirmed it was the chip tuning. The modified software messed with the engine parameters. Best bet is to take it to a reputable workshop and have them diagnose and potentially reflash the ECU with the original software. It's not cheap, but it's better than a damaged engine.

Thanks for the advice! It was indeed a faulty chip tuning. The workshop reflashed the ECU. Cost me 180€, but the car runs perfectly again.

Sounds familiar. I had a similar issue with my 2018 Opel Astra after some aftermarket modifications. An auto scanner revealed a fault code pointing to the ECU. Did you happen to use a third-party provider for your chip tuning?
