CHR airbag warning lamp

Hey, I'm having a stressful issue with my 2022 Toyota CHR, gasoline engine. The airbag warning lamp has lit up on the speedometer. I've only got 44635 km on the clock! Has anyone else experienced this? I checked under the seats for loose change or anything messing with the plugs but didn't see anything obvious. I'm worried about airbag deployment or something!

Summary of the thread

A 2022 Toyota CHR owner is experiencing an issue with the airbag warning lamp lighting up on the speedometer. This could be due to a common problem with the cable and plug connections, particularly under the passenger seat. It is advised to have the vehicle checked at a workshop to ensure safety and proper airbag function.

Did this summary help you solve your problem?

I had something similar with my CHR. Check the cable and plug connection. Seems like a common issue.

Thanks for the quick reply! Where exactly should I be checking the cable and plug connections? Are there any specific spots that are more prone to being defective?

Yeah, it was the connection under the passenger seat in my case. But honestly, with airbag systems, I'd recommend getting it checked at a workshop. Better safe than sorry. My repair cost was around 95€.

Thanks so much for the advice! I really appreciate it. I'll book it in at the workshop and mention the cable/plug connection. Hopefully, it's a simple fix and I won't have to worry about the airbags not working!
