CHR Cruise Control Failure

I have a 2020 Toyota CHR with a gasoline engine, and the cruise control has stopped working. The speedometer displays an error message whenever I try to engage it. Obviously, the cruise control itself is non-functional. I've run diagnostics and there's an error stored in the memory, potentially pointing to a defective cable or plug connection. I've checked the fuse box, but everything seems fine there. Before I start digging around the throttle body or actuator, has anyone else experienced this?

Interesting. I had a similar issue with my 2017 Opel Astra, although the error codes were different. Cruise control packed up with no warning. Did your error message give you any specific codes or point to a particular system?

The error code I pulled points to a generic electrical fault within the cruise control system. It doesn't specify a particular component like the actuator or throttle body. Was your Opel's issue related to a faulty system or a simple connection problem, considering the code you found was different?

In my case, the garage traced it back to a corroded connector within the cruise control module itself. Given your error code is less specific, and you've already checked the fuses, it might be best to let a workshop run a deeper diagnostics. They have the tools to pinpoint the exact faulty system. The cost of repair for my Opel was similarly minor.

Appreciate the insight. Based on your experience, I'll take it to a workshop. The diagnostics pointed to a defective plug connection of the component which they replaced. The repair cost was 95€, so it wasn't too bad.
