CHR engine stalling

Hi, I'm having some trouble with my 2022 Toyota CHR (gasoline engine). The check engine light is on, and it sometimes stalls when idling. I've done some research, and it seems like it could be a tank ventilation valve malfunction, maybe due to clogged hoses. Has anyone experienced something similar?

I had a similar issue with my CHR. Same symptoms. Have you checked the fuel tank pressure sensor? Sometimes a faulty sensor can trigger the check engine light and cause stalling. It might also be worth checking the gas cap, as a bad seal can cause ventilation problems.

Thanks for the advice! Where exactly is the fuel tank pressure sensor located? And how would I check the gas cap seal? Is there an obvious sign it's bad?

The fuel tank pressure sensor location can vary, but it's usually near the fuel tank or along the fuel lines. As for the gas cap, inspect the rubber seal for any cracks or damage. Honestly, given the stalling issue, I'd recommend taking it to a trusted workshop for a proper diagnosis. They have the tools to pinpoint the exact problem.

I took it to the workshop as you suggested. It turns out the hoses were indeed clogged, causing the ventilation valve to malfunction. Repair cost was 175€. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!
