A 2017 Toyota CHR hybrid is experiencing issues with the gear selection display, cruise control, and intermittent engine starting failures. The suspected cause is a problem with the clutch pedal switch circuit. A similar case suggested checking for a faulty connection or wiring issue. Could you elaborate on the specific nature of the connection issue you encountered? Were there any diagnostic codes that pointed directly to the clutch pedal switch, or did you discover the problem through physical inspection of the wiring harness and connector?

No specific codes, just a hunch and a wiggle of the wires! But honestly, after chasing ghosts for a week, I just took it to a workshop. Best 95€ I ever spent. They sorted it quick.

I appreciate your feedback. Given the potential complexity, I shall heed your recommendation and entrust the vehicle to a qualified technician for diagnosis and repair.

Whoa, sounds familiar! I had almost the exact same thing happen on my CHR. Gear selector going nuts, cruise control dead... drove me crazy. Did you check the simple stuff first, like the switch itself? Could just be a dodgy connection.
