CHR Headlight Range Control Issue

I've got a 2022 Toyota CHR hybrid with 108909 km. I'm experiencing issues with the headlight range control. There's an error stored, and a warning light is on. The low beam shines too far down or up. I suspect a defective servomotor. Has anyone else experienced this before I spend 1040€ on repairs? I've checked the electrical connectors and light intensity, but everything seems normal from the outside. Any thoughts?

Hey! I had something similar happen with my CHR. Drove me nuts! Warning light was always on, and my lights were all over the place. I thought I was going crazy. Is it super annoying when you're driving at night?

Yeah, it's incredibly annoying and makes driving at night a real pain! Was it the servomotor in your case too? Anything specific you did to diagnose it, or did you just take it straight to a mechanic?

Totally understand the pain! I didn't even bother trying to diagnose it myself beyond checking the bulbs were okay. I just took it straight to a workshop, and they confirmed it was a faulty servomotor. They replaced it, and the problem was solved. Honestly, it's probably best to just get it checked out properly. Seems like a common issue.

Thanks for the info! Sounds like I'm heading to the workshop then. Appreciate you confirming it was likely the servomotor. At least I know what to expect. Cheers!
