That's exactly what's happening! The battery drains even when the car is off. What did it end up being in your case? Any specific areas I should be checking?

Yep, sounds like the same gremlin! In my case, it ended up being a faulty component that was drawing power even when it shouldn't. Honestly, I ended up taking it to a workshop because tracing the short was a nightmare. Best 290€ I ever spent. They said it was a defective component causing a short circuit.
