CHR seat heating malfunction
Summary of the thread
A 2020 Toyota CHR has a seat heating issue where the seat doesn't warm up, despite the fuses being fine. An error code indicates a malfunction in the seat heating circuit, possibly due to a faulty heating mat within the seat. It is advised to have a professional handle the repair due to the complexity and potential risk of triggering airbags, with a replacement of the heating mat being a likely solution.

Yes, the error code points towards a malfunction in the seat heating circuit. I'm trying to gauge if this is something I can tackle myself, or if it's best left to professionals. Was the error code similar in your case? And if so, what ended up being the problem?

Yep, same error. Honestly, I wouldn't mess with it too much yourself. Airbags are in the seats in some models, and you don't want to accidentally set them off. I took mine to a workshop; they replaced the heating mat.

Understood, that's good advice. Airbags are definitely something I don't want to accidentally trigger! I'll book it in with a trusted workshop then. Just got a quote for around 390€, seems reasonable considering the complexity. Thanks again for your help!

I own a CHR too. I had a similar issue last winter. The seat heating just quit on me, no heat whatsoever. Did the error code give you any specific information?
