CHR Sunroof Not Initialized Error

Hi, I have a 2021 Toyota CHR with a gasoline engine and I'm getting a 'Sunroof not initialized' error. My car has 118262 km. Now the sunblind gets stuck, and the convertible top won't open or close, and it won't retract. Could coding carried out on the vehicle cause this?

I had a similar issue with my CHR's sunroof. The symptoms sound familiar. Was there any work done on the car's electrical system recently? Did the issue start immediately after?

Thanks for the quick response! Yes, some coding was done recently. The sunroof problem started right after that. Is there anything I can check myself, or is it definitely a garage job?

In my case, the coding definitely messed things up. While you could try looking for any obviously loose connections, it's probably best to take it to a workshop that knows how to reset the sunroof control unit. It requires specialized software. That's what I ended up doing.

Thanks, I appreciate the advice. I took it to a workshop, and they confirmed the coding was the issue. They reset the sunroof, and it's working perfectly now. Cost me 75€.
