CHR TPMS Errors
Summary of the thread
A 2022 Toyota CHR owner experienced persistent TPMS errors despite correct tire pressures, suggesting a potential sensor issue. The problem affected all four tires, leading to speculation about faulty sensor batteries or a malfunctioning receiver unit. After attempting a system reset without success, it was advised to have the sensors checked individually at a workshop. The diagnosis confirmed that all four sensor batteries had failed prematurely, and replacing them resolved the issue.

Thanks for the quick reply! It seems to be affecting all four tires, but they're all inflated correctly. I did try resetting the TPMS through the menu, but the error comes back almost immediately. Do you really think it's just the sensor batteries after only a couple of years?

Okay, all four acting up at once after a reset points even MORE to a sensor problem. It's unusual, but sensor batteries can definitely fail prematurely. My gut feeling? The cold can cause battery issues. Since you've checked the pressures and reset the system, it's probably not a bad receiver. To be 100% sure, a workshop can read each sensor individually. It cost me around 280€ back then. They'll pinpoint the culprit and replace them. It's the quickest way to get rid of that annoying light!

Thanks a bunch for the advice! I took it to the shop, and you were spot on. Turns out all four sensors' batteries were indeed kaput. They replaced them, and the errors are gone. Appreciate the help!

Sounds like a classic sensor issue! I had something similar happen on my old Corolla after a ton of miles. Is it just one tire, or are you getting readings from all of them? If it's all of them, maybe the receiver unit is faulty, but if it's just one, I'd bet on a sensor. Have you tried resetting the TPMS system through the car's menu?
