Citan Air Suspension Issues

My 2013 Mercedes Citan with a diesel engine is having air suspension problems. The vehicle won't lift, leans, and throws an error. The ride is bumpy. I scanned the error memory and it points towards a faulty bellows valve. Could a defective air spring valve cause all these issues?

Sounds familiar. I had similar symptoms on my Citan. Was the error specifically pointing towards the pneumatic suspension system? Could it be the air spring itself rather than just the valve?

The error message mentions the bellows valve directly. Is it possible for a single valve to cause the entire suspension system to fail like this? Also, were your shock absorbers affected?

Yes, a defective bellows valve can definitely cause a complete suspension failure. It regulates the air flow. If it sticks open or closed, the air spring won't inflate or deflate properly. As for the shock absorber, it's best to get it checked at a workshop when they replace the valve. That's what I did.

Thanks for the advice. I took it to a workshop, and it was indeed the bellows valve on the air spring. The repair cost me 590€. Everything is working perfectly now.
