Citan climate control problems
Summary of the thread
A 2017 Mercedes Citan diesel is experiencing climate control issues, with the automatic temperature control malfunctioning and the air conditioning not activating. A scan identified a faulty interior temperature sensor as a potential cause. It was suggested to check the sensor's cable and plug connection for corrosion or loose wires, as these are common weak points that can confuse the climate regulation system. After professional inspection, a faulty connection to the sensor was confirmed and repaired, resolving the issue.

Thanks for the tip Where exactly is that sensor located I'm not very good with car electrics And what temperature reading should I expect

Without seeing it myself it's hard to be certain, but you'll usually find it somewhere on the dashboard, often near the vents As for what to expect, I'm not sure about temperature readings I just booked mine in for diagnostics to a workshop They said it was a known issue and quoted around 95€ for the repair Honestly, unless you are confident with electrics, I would suggest doing the same

Sounds familiar I had similar sensor issues with my Citan a while back Start by checking the sensor's cable and plug connection That's a common weak spot If the temperature reading is off, the whole climate regulation system gets confused It might not be the sensor itself but just a dodgy connection Check for corrosion or loose wires
