Citan sun blind malfunction

My 2022 Mercedes Citan with a gasoline engine has a strange problem. The sun blind is stuck, won't move, and is throwing an error code. I suspect the motor is dead. Has anyone else had this sunshade issue? I'm looking at a 330€ repair.

That's tough. I had a similar sun blind problem with my Citan. Error code and everything. Before you pay, did you check the wiring harness? A loose connection can mess with those motors.

Wiring harness? Where is it located for the sun blind? I'm comfortable with tools, but I don't want to disassemble things without knowing where to look. Are there specific connectors or common problem areas?

It's hard to reach. I think it's near the headliner, where the sun blind motor is. I struggled with it and took it to a shop. They confirmed it was the motor. It's probably best to have it checked to avoid making it worse.

Thanks for the advice. I'm going to the workshop. I thought it was the motor, and I don't want to make it worse. The workshop confirmed it was the motor. New sun blind motor installed. UV protection restored. 330€ spent, but it's fixed.
