Citroen C1 injection nozzle issue
Summary of the thread
A 2005 Citroen C1 with a diesel engine is experiencing poor starting, increased fuel consumption, reduced engine power, and occasional stalling when idling. These issues are suspected to be caused by a dirty or defective injection nozzle. The suggested solution is to have the vehicle checked by a mechanic, who can confirm the problem and replace the faulty injection nozzle, which resolved the issues in this case.

No, I haven't checked the emissions. What exactly happened with your Renault Megane? Did you have all those symptoms and what did you do to fix it?

Yep, all the same symptoms. It got so bad it was undriveable! I tried some injector cleaner, but it didn't really help. In the end, I had to take it to a workshop. They confirmed it was the injectors, replaced them, and it sorted everything out. Cost a fortune though! I'd suggest taking your C1 to a mechanic to get it checked out properly.

Thanks for the advice! I took it to the workshop and they confirmed it was a defective injection nozzle. The repair cost me 515€, but now it runs like new.

Hey! That sounds frustrating. I had similar problems with my old Renault Megane, but it was a petrol engine. It was running rough, and the emissions were terrible. They told me that it was the fuel injectors. Have you checked your emissions recently?
