Citroen C1 oxygen sensor heater error

Hey, my 2005 Citroen C1 diesel has been throwing up some errors. The check engine light is on, and the error memory says something about the oxygen sensor heater. I've also noticed higher fuel consumption. Could it be a faulty sensor or a bad connection? Mileage is at 80089 km.

Sounds familiar! I had a similar issue with my C1. The malfunction indicator was driving me nuts. Have you checked the exhaust system?

I haven't checked the exhaust system, I'll take a look. Was it the sensor itself, or something else? When your malfunction indicator was on, was it a bad sensor, a faulty cable, or a plug connection?

For me, it turned out to be a defective cable. After enough swearing and sensor testing, I gave up and took it to a workshop. It was cheaper than buying new tools. Best of luck!

Cheers. I'll check the cable and plug connection. If not, I'll probably do the same and visit a workshop. I've already found a replacement oxygen sensor for around 95€, so at least I know the max damage. Thanks!
