Citroen C2 Overheating Electric Fan Issue

My 2008 Citroen C2 diesel with 234811 km is overheating. Diagnostics point to the electric fan circuit. I suspect a bad cable or plug. Anyone seen cooling system issues on this model?

Sounds like a pain! Is the fan motor completely dead, or does it sometimes kick in? Have you checked the radiator fan relay and the associated fuses? Those are usually the first things to check before suspecting a faulty electric motor or wiring harness.

The electric fan seems totally dead. I haven't checked the relay and fuse yet. Can you tell me where those are located?

Yep, sounds more and more like a dodgy connection. The relay and fuses are usually in the engine bay fuse box, or sometimes under the dash. Honestly, tracing electrical faults can be a nightmare. If you're not super confident with a multimeter, I'd say it's worth getting a workshop to take a look. Could save you a lot of time and frustration.

I took it to a technician as suggested. The repair required replacing a corroded connector, costing 95€. Thanks for pointing me to the cause.
