Citroen C2 rough running engine

My 2008 Citroen C2 with a gasoline engine is giving me fits! The check engine light is on, and power is noticeably reduced. Diagnostics show an error stored in the memory, and the engine runs rough. Could this be a faulty intake air temperature sensor? Anyone else experience this?

Hey! Sounds mighty familiar. I had similar gremlins in my C2, although I can't remember the exact year. Was the error code pointing towards the IAT sensor specifically, or just a general intake issue? It can be hard to pinpoint.

Thanks for the quick reply! The error code does indeed suggest a problem with the IAT sensor. Did replacing yours solve the problem permanently, or did you encounter further issues down the line?

Yep, replacing the IAT sensor zapped the ghost right out of the machine! But I wouldn't take my word for it. Take your car to a trusted workshop, so they can take a look at it. Replacing it is usually straight forward. In the end, you will be happy!

Perfect! Thanks for the detailed answer and advice. I had the IAT sensor replaced and it took care of the problem. I was charged 155€. All symptoms are gone. The C2 runs like new again!
