Citroen C3 Alarm Malfunction
Summary of the thread
A 2019 Citroen C3 experienced a malfunctioning anti-theft alarm system, with an error indicating a central locking issue. The problem was suspected to be related to the alarm system being coded to activate optical locking. A workshop diagnosed and resolved the issue by recoding the system, restoring its functionality.

It's completely dead. No random alarms, just nothing at all. The error code points to a central locking issue potentially triggering the alarm. Did you find a solution?

Ah, ok. Mine was the random alarm issue, sorry. But since it's completely dead, I would take it to a workshop. They should be able to diagnose it properly. My local guy mentioned something about a common fault with the alarm sensor on these models. Worth checking out.

Thanks for the advice. I took it to a workshop, and it turned out the alarm system was indeed coded to activate optical locking, which caused a conflict. They recoded it, and now it's working fine. Repair cost was 45€. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

Sounds familiar! I had a similar issue with my C3. Was the alarm going off randomly, or is it just completely dead?
