Citroen C3 Errors

My 2001 Citroen C3 diesel is throwing up errors. I'm getting a fault code, error messages on both the infotainment and speedometer, and the engine light is on. Mileage is at 155132 km. Suspect a control module issue. Any ideas?

Sounds familiar. Had similar issues with my old Saab. Constant errors and lights. Turned out the ECU was misconfigured and needed a re-flash. Might be worth checking out the coding of your C3's control modules.

Misconfigured how? What exactly was wrong with the Saab?

The Saab's ECU had the wrong vehicle configuration loaded. It was causing communication errors between modules. I'd recommend getting a scan tool on it to read the fault codes, but it does sound like a trip to the workshop is inevitable.

Thanks, you were spot on. Took it to the shop; incorrect vehicle coding was indeed the issue. Cost me 360€ to recode the ECU. All sorted now.
