Citroen C3 Intake Hiss

I haven't done a smoke test, but I agree it would help locate the leak. I'll check the intake manifold. I can't read the trouble codes myself. What codes should I look for if I get them read?

It is very hard to tell without knowing the exact codes but usually, any P0171 (System Too Lean, Bank 1) or P0172 (System Too Rich, Bank 1) would indicate an issue. P0300 codes, referring to random/multiple cylinder misfire detected are also relevant. Given the symptoms and your mechanical expertise, it may be prudent to consult a qualified technician for a comprehensive assessment and repair. A compromised air intake system can lead to suboptimal engine performance and potential long-term damage. But it seems like an intake hose is a likely scenario.

Thanks for the help. I took it to a mechanic, and the diagnosis confirmed a fractured intake hose. The repair cost 100€ and fixed the problem!

Those symptoms certainly point towards an air intake leak. The hissing noise, in particular, is quite characteristic. While a leaking intake hose is a prime suspect, I would also encourage you to inspect the intake manifold itself for any cracks or loose connections. Have you attempted to perform a smoke test to pinpoint the precise location of the leak? A vacuum hose could be the culprit here. What trouble codes are you getting, if you have accessed the ECU?
