Citroen C3 starting stalling camshaft sensor

On my C3, it's near the bottom of the engine, close to the flywheel. Not the easiest to reach, but doable with extensions. It's worth a try before buying a new camshaft sensor. A faulty crankshaft sensor can definitely mess with the camshaft sensor readings because they work together to control ignition timing. Since you checked the camshaft sensor wiring, maybe take it to a workshop. They can tell you if the encoder wheel is damaged.

You were right about the sensors working together, but the camshaft sensor was the problem – the encoder wheel was damaged! I had to replace the sensor, costing 695€, but the C3 runs smoothly again.
