Ah, that could well be the culprit. While electric cars have fewer moving parts, many still use a transfer case to manage power distribution. Neglecting the transfer case oil can lead to premature wear. Given the symptoms and mileage, defective gears are a real possibility. I'd advise getting it checked at a workshop ASAP.

Thanks a lot! You were spot on. Took it to a workshop, and they confirmed it: transfer case oil wear. Defective gears. Repair cost: 330€. Appreciate the help!

That sounds like a potential issue with the transfer case, yes. I had similar symptoms on my old Volvo, though it was a petrol model. How's the transfer fluid been maintained? Any gear grinding noises?
