Citroen C4 rough running engine
Summary of the thread
A 2016 Citroen C4 diesel experienced a rough running engine and a check engine light, with diagnostics indicating a 'Reset quantity drift compensation' error. The suspected cause was a faulty injector, which was confirmed after a workshop inspection. The defective injector was replaced, resolving the issue and restoring smooth engine performance.

Thanks for the response! Fuel economy has taken a slight hit, maybe 5-10%. Which specific car sensors would you recommend checking in relation to the fuel injection system?

Given the drift compensation error and rough running, I'd specifically check the fuel rail pressure sensor and the oxygen sensor (lambda sensor). The fuel rail pressure sensor provides data about the fuel pressure within the fuel rail, while the oxygen sensor monitors the oxygen content in the exhaust gases, which can indicate if the fuel mixture is off. However, in my case it was actually the injector. Considering the mileage, it might be worth getting them professionally checked. I'd suggest going to the workshop!

The car went to the workshop, and it was a defective injector, as suspected. The 'Reset quantity drift compensation' error was indeed linked to it. The repair, including injector replacement, cost 515€. The engine is now running smoothly again.

I had a similar issue with my C4, though I can't recall the exact error code. Rough running and the check engine light were definitely present. Did you notice any changes in fuel economy? Have you checked the car sensors related to fuel injection? A malfunctioning sensor could also trigger such an error, so it's worth investigating before assuming it's the injector itself.
