Citroen C5 audio system failure

I had a similar issue with my old 2016 Renault Megane. No sound, just silence. Did you notice any weird crackling or static noise from the speakers before it died completely? Almost like the audio was fading out?

Now that you mention it, there was some faint crackle in the speakers, like a tiny gremlin playing the castanets. This display issue? I feel like I'm comparing apples to oranges...

That's exactly what I experienced with the Megane. It started with those little noises and then went silent. In my case, the head unit was fried, but I wasn't confident poking around in that sensitive new car. If your error memory indicates an issue, I'd advise taking it to a workshop.

Thanks for the insight. Dropped it off at the shop. They said it's a defective display, and it'll be 725€ to fix. Ouch! But at least I know what it is now.
