A dodgy sensor? Which sensor was it exactly? How did you figure it out? I'm tempted to just replace the battery, but I'd rather not waste the money if it's something else. Was it hard to diagnose? Can I check it myself before heading to the workshop?

I'm not entirely sure which sensor it was, something to do with the battery monitoring system, I think. I spent ages fiddling around with it but in the end I took it to a garage. They plugged it into diagnostics and sussed it out pretty quick. Saved me a lot of grief! Best to get it properly checked. It will save you money!

Thanks for the advice! I booked it in for a checkup. It was the battery sensor, like you said! Cost me 315€ for the fix. Now the car isn't trying to die every time I start it.

Sounds rough! I had a similar issue with my old Volvo V60. Same weak lights, error messages popping up. I thought it was the battery too, but it turned out to be a dodgy sensor messing with the charging system. The car constantly thought the battery was full, even when it wasn't.
