Citroën C6 petrol engine 2011 does not start: suspected parking heater problems
(Translated from German)
Summary of the thread
A 2011 Citroën C6 petrol engine is experiencing starting issues, suspected to be related to the parking heater. A similar issue was resolved in a Citroën C5 by replacing a defective glow plug, which restored the parking heater's functionality. The suggested solution is to have the vehicle inspected and repaired by a mechanic, as this approach successfully resolved the problem in a comparable case.

Hey, thanks for your tip! Can you remember how much it cost you at the garage? And has anything else come up regarding the problem since then? Would be great to know what to expect!

Hey, of course I remember. The repair actually cost me €560. The main problem was the defective glow plug. Since the mechanic looked over it, the parking heater has been running again without any problems. So it was definitely worth having it repaired! So, don't worry, after that your car should start like new again! Good luck, buddy!

Cool, thanks for the info. That lets me breathe a little easier. I think I'll take the car to the garage and have it checked out. Keep your fingers crossed that it won't be more expensive. I'll let you know again when I get my Citroën back!

Hey, I can understand you very well. I had the same problem with my 2009 Citroën C5 - the glow plug was defective, just as you suspect. I had it repaired at the garage. They had to replace the faulty glow pin and also adjust a few other things. It wasn't a major problem, but definitely one you need to fix or your car won't start. So, don't worry about it and just get it fixed at the garage. Keep us posted, buddy!
