Citroen C8 Electrical Malfunction

Hi, I'm having an issue with my 2011 Citroen C8 diesel. I'm seeing 'Error stored in the error memory', a general electrical malfunction, and the navigation system is dead. The mileage is 130054 km. I've scanned the error memory and it seems like the programming of the control unit is implausible. Has anyone else experienced this? Could it be a software bug? A full software reset, according to a local workshop, will be around 240€. Is there anything else I could be missing before recalibration?

I have a C8 and have experienced similar electrical gremlins. Did it start happening after any recent maintenance or software changes?

Good question! Now that you mention it, I did have the car in for a routine service recently. I wasn't told of any changes but is it possible they did something that could have triggered this?

Yeah, sounds like they might have inadvertently messed with the control unit programming. Happened to me after a simple oil change – baffling! I ended up having to take it to a workshop that specialized in Citroen software issues. They did a complete software reset and recalibration, and it solved the problem.

Thanks, that's really helpful and confirms my suspicions. I'll take it to a workshop and get the control unit reprogrammed. Hopefully, that'll sort it out. I'll report back after the software reset.
