Thanks for the tip! So, you think it's definitely the connection and not the sensor itself? I'm not really sure how to properly check the connection, any suggestions?

Well, I can't say definitely, but it's worth checking. Those connections can get corroded or damaged. If fiddling with the wires doesn't fix it, you might need a new sensor, or there is some other underlying issue. Honestly, I ended up taking mine to a workshop. They sorted it out pretty quick.

You were spot on! The garage confirmed it was a dodgy connection to the charge air temperature sensor. They cleaned it up and secured it properly. Cost me 95€. Runs like a charm now, thanks a bunch for your help!

Sounds familiar! I had a similar issue with my DS5. Not sure about the year, but it was the same engine. That hissing noise is a giveaway. A 'charge air temperature sensor' measures the temperature of the air entering your engine after it's been compressed by the turbocharger. The Engine Control Unit (ECU), uses this information to optimize engine performance and emissions. In my case, it was a bad connection to the sensor. Check those wires carefully!
