Citroen DS5 Jerking Acceleration Power Loss

My 2013 Citroen DS5 diesel is giving me headaches! It's got 145965 km on it. Getting jerking when accelerating, the check engine light is on, and feels like it's lost power. Sometimes it even stalls! It's running rough and smells strongly of exhaust. Error memory says something about the intake manifold. Could a leaky intake manifold be the culprit here?

DS5 owner here. I had very similar symptoms a while back. Engine misfire, check engine light, reduced power... Does it sound like a vacuum leak? Have you checked manifold pressure?

Vacuum leak, huh? And manifold pressure? How did you figure that out? Was it definitely the intake manifold in your case?

Yeah, those were the exact symptoms. Turned out the intake manifold was leaking because it was scorched. Best get it checked out at a workshop.
