Citroen Jumper Engine Stalling

I own a 2018 Citroen Jumper with a diesel engine and 40450 km mileage. Recently, the engine won't start sometimes and stalls at idle occasionally. The check engine light is on. I've also noticed rough engine running and higher fuel consumption. I scanned the error memory and there is an error stored. Any suggestions?

I had similar symptoms with my Opel Astra, though it was a gasoline engine. 'Rough engine running', 'stalling' and 'check engine light' points to a fuel delivery problem. Have you checked the fuel pump or the fuel injectors?

Thank you for the suggestion. Where exactly should I inspect to resolve the 'fuel delivery problem'? What am I looking for on the fuel pump and injectors?

I'm not an expert, but in my case the connection to the fuel pump was defective, specifically a faulty cable. Check for loose connections. However, I would suggest visiting a workshop for a proper diagnosis to prevent further damage. They have the tools for that.

Thank you for your advice. I checked all the cable and plug connections and the problem was indeed a defective fuel pump cable, and the error was gone afterwards. The repair cost 95€. Have a nice day.
