Citroen Nemo Overheating

My 2009 Citroen Nemo with a gasoline engine is overheating. The check engine light is also on. Mileage is 207031 km. Could this be related to the radiator fan?

Hey, I had a similar issue with my Nemo. Overheating can definitely be a radiator fan problem. Is the fan spinning freely? If not, the fan motor could be faulty.

Thanks for the quick reply! How can I check if the fan is spinning freely, and if it's related to the fan speed sensor?

Well, the fan should spin easily when you try to move the fan blade manually. If it's stiff, the motor is likely the problem. A faulty speed sensor can also cause overheating, as it affects temperature control. Honestly, with those symptoms, best to get it checked at a workshop.

Thanks! I'll get it to a workshop. It was the speed sensor, as suspected. Repair cost 250€, all in.
